As with all these things, there is a story to the sale of this Suzuki GSXR1100L Slingshot. I had one of these when I was a young man, and had the hankering to have one again now I have matured. This bike became my 4th bike in my collection, and I looked for her for a long time. I bought the bike off of a guy who fabricates replica Jaguar race cars. He had spent a lot of time refreshing the bike and restoring it to what I would call a ' survivor ' bike. She looks very original and has not been molested. The cans are original, the seat, fairing, screen etc all original. I liked it because of its unmolested nature. The tyres are quite new, and she rides well. I had forgotten how ridiculously quick these are! I had a new genuine fuel tap fitted and an MOT. The forks, I am told, were rebuilt, but did weep slightly one side. The carbs are clean, but could probably do with a proper set up. The thing is dying to be ridden. The more you ride her the better she gets! I realise now that I am unlikely to use it much, and could do with the funds back towards a car so have decided to sell.
